Who we are

QuashMyFine is a trading name of Warren Anthony Folkes. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller. For anything relating to your personal data, contact hello@quashmyfine.co.uk.

What information we collect

To prepare your appeal, we collect: your name and contact details; details of your Penalty Charge Notice (reference number, date, location, vehicle registration); supporting evidence you provide (photographs, receipts, correspondence); and payment information, which is processed directly by Stripe — we do not store your full card details ourselves.

Why we use it

We use your information solely to assess your case and prepare your appeal documents. We don't use your data for marketing without your separate consent, and we don't sell your data to third parties.

Our legal basis for processing

We process your data under UK GDPR on the basis of contract (to provide the service you've paid for) and, where relevant, legitimate interest (for example, responding to a general enquiry before any contract exists).

Who we share it with

Payment details are shared with Stripe, our payment processor, under their own PCI-compliant security standards. We don't share your case details with the council, operator, or charging authority except where your appeal itself is sent, and always with your knowledge as part of the service.

How long we keep your data

We retain case data for 6 years after your case concludes, in line with the standard limitation period for contract-related claims in England and Wales. After that, it's securely deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to our processing, and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@quashmyfine.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

Cookies

We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. This site may use minimal, strictly necessary cookies from our hosting platform to function correctly — for example, so a form submission works — but nothing that tracks you across other sites or builds a profile of you.

QuashMyFine — document preparation only. Not a law firm; we do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Registered with the ICO for data protection.
