Draft — pending solicitor review. Last updated: [date].
QuashMyFine (a trading name of Warren Anthony Folkes) provides document preparation assistance for Penalty Charge Notice appeals — including council PCNs, private parking charges, and Dart Charge / Mersey Gateway penalties. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and using our service does not create a solicitor-client relationship.
We help you build and word the strongest appeal we reasonably can based on the information and evidence you provide. The decision on any appeal rests entirely with the council, operator, or independent adjudicator — we cannot and do not guarantee any outcome.
We check your grounds before you're charged. If we don't believe you have a reasonable basis for an appeal, we'll tell you and you won't be charged for that assessment.
Payment is taken via Stripe at the point of order.
Before you pay: we check your grounds for free. If we don't believe you have a reasonable basis for an appeal, we'll tell you and you won't be charged.
If you've paid and a fuller review finds we can't identify a reasonable basis for your case after all, we'll refund you in full.
If there's an error on our part — for example, the wrong template applied to your case, or a technical fault in what you receive — we'll correct it or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.
Once a properly prepared appeal letter matching your order has been delivered to you, the service has been fulfilled. As we can't control or guarantee the outcome of any appeal, a refund isn't available simply because an authority or operator later rejects it.
[To confirm with solicitor: under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers normally have a 14-day right to cancel an online order. This can be waived for digital content/services once delivery begins, but only with your express consent and acknowledgement at the point of order — needs confirming whether this is being captured correctly given how quickly appeal letters are typically delivered.]
To request a refund, email hello@quashmyfine.co.uk.
You're responsible for providing accurate, complete information about your case. We prepare your appeal based on what you tell us and the evidence you supply — we can't verify facts about your circumstances independently, and an appeal built on inaccurate information is unlikely to succeed.
We prepare your appeal documents; you remain the person submitting the appeal, in your own name, and retain full control over whether and how to send it.
[To confirm with solicitor before publishing — standard limitation of liability clause appropriate for a UK sole trader document-preparation service.]
